How To Start Budgeting in 2022

You may be here because you watched my YouTube videos or you might be here because this popped up in your search, either way you’re here because you’ve decided to start taking your finances more seriously and are looking for the perfect guide to do so.

Starting to budget is less intimidating than it seems, all you will need is to identify your source of income, costs and any savings you want. If you are planning an upcoming trip or saving for a purchase like a home, a budget is going to be a key factor to determine the cashflow you need to to succeed.

I built this in excel in 2021, during the height of the pandemic when I realized how crucial it was to be on top of your finances so you can go into any situation prepared. It has sheets dedicated to each month of the year and the very first sheet is for all of 2022 so you can get an overview of how the year went for you. You can edit every part of this budget sheet to meet your needs, and if you ever want to go back to the basics and reset you can always find it here for free!
